Priestly Blessing Amulet

Excavations in the Valley of Hinnom, overlooking the walls of the Old City, revealed part of Jerusalem’s “city of tombs” during the First Temple period. In one of the rock-cut burial caves, two tiny silver scrolls were found, each with small letters engraved on it in ancient Hebrew script. The smaller tablet reads “May the Lord bless you and keep you, may his face shine upon you and grant you peace” – a wording almost identical to the priestly blessing familiar to us from the Book of Numbers, while the larger one has a slightly different wording of the blessing. These verses are the oldest version known to us, predating the biblical passages in the Qumran scrolls (late 3rd century BCE) by about 400 years.

This unique, beautiful and delicate pendant is made of silver. It is suitable for all ages and genders and can be a touching addition to any jewelry box.

The replica was designed after the small tablet

The original tablets from the late 7th to early 6th century BC, the days of the last kings of Judah

Did you know? The use of amulets is ancient and continues to this day. Amulets are intended to protect and preserve a person, their family, and their property from natural disasters, curses, and the evil eye. Some of them are intended to cure illness or infertility, and some protect their owners on their journeys, promising them blessings and success or inspiring them with desire and love. The magical power of amulets derives from the name of the being, from various formulas of the mysterious names of the being, or from biblical verses written on them. Sometimes the name of the owner of the amulet is also added to them to ensure special protection.
