Notebook with Elastic Band – Zoya Cherkassky’s Friday in the Projects / 1991 in Ukraine
The cover of this notebook shows details from a diptych by artist Zoya Cherkassky. On one side are memories from Ukraine; on the other – impressions from Cherkassky’s new life in Be’er Sheva. The paintings were included in the exhibition Pravda, held at the Israel Museum in 2018. In it, a large selection of oil paintings presented the immigration experience of the artist and her family, who arrived in Israel in the 1990s.
