Amulet Keychain – Talisman
Keyring amulet tablet against the evil eye. Inspired by an artifact from the 5th century AD.
The original tablet was carved from limestone, bore typical Jewish symbols, and resembled a synagogue wall in appearance. The prominent element is a central door or niche, flanked by large lamps. Above it are two window-like openings, and at the top of the tablet is another niche. All the niches probably contained mirrors. The bottom of the tablet is decorated with 3 birds. The use of birds and animals for decorative purposes is quite common in Jewish art.
