Pharaoh in Canaan: The Untold Story

This large-format publication accompanied the Israel Museum’s acclaimed exhibition exploring Egyptian-Canaanite relations from the end of the fourth millennium BCE until the collapse of the Egyptian Empire in Canaan ca. 1130 BCE. Topics discussed in the catalogue range from the history of the political relations between Egypt and Canaan through the fascinating and at times surprising impact of their cultures on one another. Divided into four main chronological sections, the book contains some 100 illustrations and a total of sixty-six entries, several of which publish for the first time objects from recent excavations in Israel.
