Notebook with Maimonides’s Signature
“It has been corrected from my own book. I am Moses son of Rabbi Maimon, the Righteous, of Blessed Memory” – thus reads the rare signature of Maimonides himself on the corrected copy of the Mishneh Torah, Egypt, 1170-1180. The copy is kept in the Bodleian Libraries, University of Oxford. It was displayed at the Israel Museum in 2019 in the exhibition Maimonides: A Legacy in Script.
